The steam engine

DSB K564 was build in 1899 by Esslingen in Germany, originally for fast passenger trains.

It was allocated to Slagelse engine shed during 1941-42, being used on serviced to Næstved via Dalmose and to Kalundborg via Høng.

K564 was sold to the private Holbæk-Nykøbing Sj raiway in 1957 and later to the Danish Raiway Club in 1968.

The locomotive was, after restoration, in the railway club`s service during the period 1983-91.

After an extensive overhaul in the railway club`s workshop in Høng during the period 1994-2006 is the locomotive once again certified to haul passenger trains, also on the main lines.
